Early last year I lost my Diana's lens cap, I was in search for a new one but failed; some are loose, some are too small and some are just simply tacky. So when I found this abandoned sun glasses case, I just had an idea; why not make my own lens cap?
I've been using my Splitzer as an alternative lens cap LOL |
Things you will need |
- Scissors
- Cutter
- Tape
- Measuring Tape
- Sand Paper
- Black Spray Paint
- Clear Spray Paint
- Empty Box
I also decided to color my Recesky Black :) And for that you need to sand paper the area you will cover with spray paint and then cover everything that doesn't need painting.
First I cut the container to an exact fit to the lens and then I sprayed the inside with the black spray paint. Next spray the outside with the black spray paint, let the first coat sit first for atleast 15 minutes then spray again.
This is how it looks when I sprayed the clear paint.
The final product of my Recesky :)
This is how my DIY lens cap looks like. SUCCESS! |
My growing camera collection |
Went for a photo walk with my boyfriend at U.P. last weekend. I can't wait for the film to get developed :)
