We had a little family gathering earlier in June and I was really glad they held it in Zambales but to my suprise it took us 3 hours to get to Candelaria from Olongapo. Olongapo was already in Zambales so I didn't think it would take that long for us to get there.
But the view was nice so it made up for the unexpected long ride. We stayed in my Uncle's place first for a night before heading to Potipot Island, so we took the chance to explore the place. We went to 2 creeks (batis) and it was so fun, I never thought I'd have that much fun with my cousins, ever.
The travel to the port from my Uncle's place was a breeze and from there you can easily see the most adorable, little island. I was so stoked that the boat ride only took 2 minutes (barely).
I am not a beach person but I liked the place, it was so beautiful and clean, plus the solidarity makes it so much better than Boracay. I had so much fun, we were out in the sun all morning and the tan we had didn't matter. I even had the worst sunburn i've ever had that prevented me from sleeping at night.
